Our second day in London started with a ride on the Tube.

It was standing room only at rush hour. Hold on!

Our first stop of the day was Monument station, where we disembarked for a tour of The City. We saw some interesting buildings, including Lloyd's of London.

And The Gherkin.

Historic Leadenhall Market was beautiful.

Next up was St. Paul's. We lucked out with gorgeous weather!

Maddie was impressed.

After an amazing tour of St. Paul's, we were feeling a little peckish. High tea at The Montague to the rescue!

Full of multiple pots of tea, sandwiches, the best scones I've ever tasted, and pastries, we were ready to take on the British Museum. Our first stop was the Reading Room, which was a book lover's paradise.

The Rosetta stone, mummies, and marbles, oh my! There was so much to see and learn at the British Museum.
